Our Pastor at Valley Assembly is Doug Young. Pastor Doug has been preaching since the age of fourteen, where he began in youth ministries in his home state of Texas. His ministry has spanned fifty years and he has traveled across the United States in evangelistic meetings, served in Arizona and Colorado as Protestant Chaplain in the Federal Prison system and pastored in Arizona and California.

He and his wife, Lynda, have been at Valley Assembly since 2001, but also pastored the church from 1977 to 1989, growing the church through two building programs.

Pastor Doug is ordained by the General Council of the Assemblies of God and is a member of the Southern California District Assemblies of God, and a graduate of Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA.

Pastor Doug and Lynda have two grown children and are blessed with five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Their desire is to minister to all people at their point of need.

We at Valley Assembly are truly blessed by the leadership, dedication and faithfulness of our Pastor. With the dynamic preaching of Pastor Doug our worship services are inspiring and Spirit filled events that will deepen your relationship and re-energize your walk with the Lord.

We believe that authority and power for ministry are conferred directly by Christ through the leading of the Holy Spirt and that our Lord is making direct, dynamic appointments in His body today.
